Kim Nichols, MA, LMFTA, received a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. Originally from Michigan, Mrs. Nichols has lived in North Carolina for several years. She is also a graduate of Western Michigan University, where she earned a Master’s degree in English/Professional Writing, a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Arts and Sciences, and Professional Education Certification, kindergarten through eighth grade. Mrs. Nichols has extensive experience working in healthcare, campus, community, and school settings, supervising and serving as a community liaison for health professional, graduate, and undergraduate students in academic institutions. She also provides mental health counseling and spiritual support for individuals attending faith-based congregations.
Mrs. Nichols is also a certified Community Resiliency Model (CRM) Teacher who works with individuals across the lifespan. She serves as a co-located mental health therapist for adolescent children in the Durham Public School System and also enjoys providing personal growth counseling for college-age and graduate students. Although Mrs. Nichols’s clinical approach is eclectic, she uses a Family Systems approach, employing Cognitive Behavioral, Experiential, Narrative, and Solution-Focused therapies.

Additionally, Mrs. Nichols is a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator who offers premarital counseling and works with couples navigating marital and relational challenges.
