Patricia Vereen is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA) in North Carolina. She earned her Master of Social Work from North Carolina Central University and pursued her clinical career later in life, driven by a passion for helping others achieve meaningful and lasting change. Combining professional training, clinical expertise, and life experience, Patricia provides compassionate, evidence-based, and client-centered care tailored to everyone’s unique journey.

Patricia views therapy as a collaborative partnership grounded in trust, respect, and authenticity. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to address emotional, behavioral, mental, and spiritual concerns while building on their inherent strengths and resilience.

She specializes in working with individuals experiencing psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions, as well as couples and families affected by mental illness and addiction. Utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Family and Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, Patricia tailors treatment to each client's goals, strengths, and needs.

With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, customer service, project management and technology, Patricia brings strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills to her clinical work. Her ability to build rapport, navigate complex situations, and foster meaningful connections enhances her effectiveness in supporting clients through life's challenges.

Patricia takes a holistic approach to care, recognizing the connection between physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. She partners with clients to increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and create lasting, meaningful changes.

A native of Durham, North Carolina, Patricia enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and eleven grandchildren. Her strong faith and supportive family continue to inspire both her personal life and professional practice.
