Mrs. Torres Rivera was born and raised in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, and moved to the United States at the age of 13. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at North Carolina Central University, where she expects to graduate in May 2027. While she provides support for general concerns, Mrs. Torres Rivera's main clinical interest is eating disorders. Her current research focuses on the influence of paternal emotional responsiveness on daughters' romantic attachment styles. She is fluent in Spanish and has conversational ability in American Sign Language (ASL). Mrs. Torres Rivera's goal is to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and supported. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, decorating her home, shopping, and visiting farms.
