Dr. Sherry Eaton earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Howard University and a doctorate in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Presently, she is a professor and chair of the Department of Psychology at North Carolina Central University.
A Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Eaton specializes in working with adults, adolescents, and families. Additionally, she has served as a consultant with local school districts and other educational programs. She has published in a variety of refereed journals and books and has presented her work at national conferences. Dr. Eaton’s research interests include indices of academic achievement for children, and spirituality and mental health outcomes.
Dr. Eaton is originally from New Jersey and has four adult children. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading for pleasure and watching movies.
