Allison M. Garner, MA, LCMHCA

Allison Garner is native of Virginia who currently resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
She graduated from Greenville County Schools, Emporia, earning her high school diploma.
After an educational pause, Allison returned to the world of academia by way of Saint
Augustine University, Raleigh, North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in
Criminal Justice, followed by the completion of Capella University’s graduate program,
where she pursued her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in
Counseling Psychology. Allison has received specialized training in psychological diagnostic
assessment (testing) and therapeutic clinical interventions. She considers herself a
Humanistic Existential practitioner and believes that all persons have the answers to their
deepest concerns and can find healing when adequately regarded as a solid and capable
individual. Allison has always had a passion for helping and supporting youth and is a
staunch advocate for those youths who are faced with life-altering consequences due to poor momentary choices.

As a clinical, she believes she must assist those with behavioral challenges exacerbated by
mental health problems brought on by unwelcome environments. Allison believes in
standing in support of those unwittingly on a collision course with an imbalanced and
already overwhelmed justice system. In her free time, Allison enjoys participating in
Polynesian dance workouts, spending time in nature, and observing wildlife. Additionally,
she enjoys exploring her creative side with Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects around her home
and making jewelry. Still, above all else, her first love is her family, as she spends the
majority of her time investing in her family’s happiness and well-being.

Allison hopes to bring her life experiences and formal education to the private practice
setting, where she can hopefully make a difference with each person who seeks her support.
