Jesus A. Sanchez Ohep, BET, MT, is pursuing his Master’s in Clinical Psychology at North Carolina Central University and expects to graduate in December 2016. Originally from Venezuela, Mr. Sanchez has been in the United States for over 40 years. He earned his bachelor’s in electronics technology (BET) from the University of Central Florida and his master’s in Technology (MT) from Georgia Southern University. Mr. Sanchez has worked as a science & math mentor for Elementary School children, as a basic skills instructor for Durham Technical Community College, and as a group facilitator with men convicted of domestic violence. Once he becomes a licensed psychological associate (LPA), Mr. Sanchez wants to specialize in group therapy and in end-of-life counseling.
Mr Sanchez is the proud father of two sons and in December 2016 celebrates his 35th wedding anniversary. He is the published author of a book titled “Building a Nation One Person at a Time”, (PublishAmerica, LLLP, 2003). Mr Sanchez is also a musician and vocalist. He plays the guitar and the Venezuelan cuatro for a local band called Los Tepuyeros. In his free time, Mr. Sanchez enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife. He also enjoys cooking, reading, and learning new things.
