MEET OUR TEAM

Vicki Pinson, MA, LPA, HSP-PA

Vicki obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from North Carolina Central University and had obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with minors in ASL Deaf Studies and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Vicki is a Licensed Psychological Associate who performs psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological and psychoeducational testing.

Vicki believes that her primary role as a therapist is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment in which clients from diverse backgrounds can explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences and uncover their deepest healing potential, while building self-esteem and confidence. Vicki believes the foundation for effective therapy is a strong client-therapist relationship built on trust, understanding, and acceptance. Vicki tailors treatment towards the individual’s needs by integrating tools from multiple theories including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused, and Solution Focused approaches. She utilizes a holistic approach, meaning she provides support by acknowledging all components of health including mental, physical, emotional, and social health.

Vicki grew up in Thomasville, North Carolina. She has lived in Raleigh since 2018 and loves the area. She is the mother of two, and grandmother to six. She enjoys knitting and often relaxes by knitting gifts for her grandchildren. She also enjoys travelling with her significant other, spending time with family and friends, and Latin dancing.
